Senneville VMS + Au Project

Senneville VMS + Au Project Highlights

Val-d'Or Gold Camp

The Val-d’Or gold camp, established in 1923 in Québec’s Abitibi Greenstone Belt, is a major mining hub extracting gold, copper, zinc, lead, and lithium. Key mines include the Sigma mine (operational since 1935), the Louricourt mine (production since 1994), and the Senneville Project, adjacent to deposits like Novador (2.04 Moz Au) and Beaufor (>1.1 Moz Au). Gold occurs in shear zones and faults within sediments and volcanic rocks. The camp remains a cornerstone of Québec’s mining industry.

Senneville Project

As of October 2024, Senneville comprises 230 mineral claims totaling over 130 km2, situated in the eastern segment of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, approximately 25 kilometers northeast of the Val-d’Or gold mining district in Québec. The project is contiguous to Probe Metals’ Novador Project to the south, which hosts the ~2.0 Moz Monique gold resource with an average grade of 1.42 g/t Au, and to Monarch Mining’s Beaufor Mine to the north, where historical production exceeded 1.1 Moz Au.

Previous exploration has primarily targeted the Gustave Cere showing within the Senneville South claim group. Assay results from this area include historical grab samples yielding up to 49.5 g/t Au, channel samples returning up to 6.5 g/t Au over 1.8 meters, and drill intercepts reporting up to 18.15 g/t Au over approximately 0.9 meters. The Gustave Cere showing has been delineated through drilling along a strike length of approximately 361 meters. However, systematic gold exploration across other project areas has been limited, as prior efforts predominantly focused on evaluating the property’s volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) potential.

The project’s lithological framework is dominated by the Garden Island sediments in the southern sector and the Lanaudiere Group in the northern sector, comprising basalts, mafic volcaniclastic rocks, and minor komatiite and ultramafic to gabbroic sills. These units exhibit a west-northwest trend, with contacts typically characterized by dextral or reverse-dextral faults exhibiting steep northerly dips. Gold mineralization in the region is spatially associated with shear zones, fault systems, tension fractures, and tectonic breccias, commonly in proximity to syn-volcanic intrusions.
